Divine Science University: Who, What, When, Where, Why (Concept Development)

 

WHAT IF?

• What if there were a network of like-spirited, like-minded, or liked soul-families within which to communicate, collaborate, and share compatible insights?

• What if each each remained wholly independent, while at the same time choosing to be joined with others in executing their individual purposes?

• What if this network allowed for sharing or requesting insights, training, teachings, collaboration, etc. from others in the network knowing that there is a strong probability that there will be someone in the network willing to assist, or who are providing the knowledge and wisdom sought?

• What if this was a wholistic network of ideas and thoughts spiritually working together to bring to others what it is that THEY are searching for, and offering our insights, when requested, for the purposes of improving informed decision making?

• What if this organization was universal  -- "pertaining to the whole of something specified; occurring everywhere," "all together, whole, entire"?

• What if such an entity has been envisioned and is in the process of being created? -- Divine Science University.

WHAT IS DIVINE SCIENCE?

• The word divine means pertaining to, of the nature of, or proceeding from deity (specifically it refers to shine, referring to sky, heaven, God)

• The word science means pertaining to “cutting or splitting; dividing or separating” in order to know.  Think of it as exploring the parts to better understand the whole.

• Divine science would then refer to investigating the parts that we can understand that pertain to the nature of deity.  ENDEAVORING TO UNDERSTAND THE PARTS OF DEITY WE DON’T YET COMPREHEND IN ORDER TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE WHOLE.  

• Deity meaning, basically, sky shining, or light, divine science becomes learning to understand the fundamental nature, function, and being of the divine, and the energetic nature of the divine's action--light.

WHY A UNIVERSITY?

• The word University is from Universality meaning academic community, and is from universus meaning "whole, entire", and IS related to the word universe.

• It makes sense that an organization allowing the whole of spiritual conceptualizing within its network might be termed a university as it encompasses the whole scope of spiritual conceptualization.

• In academics typically a university  has subsidiary colleges or academies within their structure for the purpose of  more focus on particular areas for educating their pupils.

WHAT'S A COLLEGE?

• The word college denotes any corporate group. In the academic sense, colleges operated within universities.

• A college would typically focus upon a limited field of study, e.g. a college of medicine within a university system.

WHAT'S AN ACADEMY?

• The word academy was the name of Plato's gymnasium where he sought to build the mind AND the body.  The word has come to indicate any school or training place for arts and sciences or higher learning.

• An academy might function as a subsidiary of a college, e.g., academy of physicians under a larger organization.  An academy might also be a stand alone subsidiary of a university limiting itself to a specific field, e.g., the academy of motorcycle repair.

WHY DIVINE SCIENCE UNIVERSITY?

• We have chosen to name the network of like-spirited, like-minded, or like soul-family within which to communicate, collaborate, and share compatible insights as Divine Science University (or DSU, or Divine U informally)

• The network is composed of Colleges and Academies that have made a written commitment to join together in a collaborative network of independent spirit-based entities.

• DSU is overseen by a board of directors that is composed of representatives from its colleges  and academies.  Using input from the colleges and academies and their governing bodies, the DSU board of directors seeks to provide the collaborative network foundation and to oversee its function.

• Divine U seeks:
• to bring to light paths of wholeness and completeness for the purpose of:
•  integrating self with the divine whole;
•  the maturation of those seeking similar paths.

• to serve as an assembly of individuals investigating, exploring, and implementing previously unheard of, unused, or recently discovered concepts of value;

• to act with awareness and connectedness, promoting good citizenship wherever we are living and operating.

WHAT IS REQUIRED?

• At this time we envision that colleges and academies will promote, share and work some form of spirit-based educational paths and are willing to network together with others of like spirit.

DO I HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING?

• No, this is a voluntary association on the part of everyone. Just "do your thing" and work with others who are "doing their thing" and be tolerant and or supportive of their work.

• The take away is that DSU is about support the work of its individual colleges and academies rather than providing anything directly.  Those things may come as you develop your experiences within DSU and as you explore your universe.
