Divine Science University, or DSU, is a teaching tool for sharing the wisdom of its participants with others. Like a university we open our organization up to like-minded and divinely-spirited individuals and organizations who will join with DSU in working towards common objectives.
Like a college, each individual participant focuses upon the particular field of study they love.
Academies provide a place for training in arts, sciences, or higher learning. So one might have an academy to present classes, or train in arts or sciences. One might have a college for the continuous presentation of wisdom focused upon a particular area. Together the academies and colleges make up the university which is focused upon Divine Science.
All participants of DSU seek to act with awareness and connectedness, promoting good citizenship wherever we are living and operating. Our desire is to serve others in love, passing on universal knowledge and wisdom that helps one to grow and mature. In effect DSU desires to be a "research library" for seeking spiritual learning.
Currently divinescienceuniversity.blogspot.com DSU has established an internet web presence where you can read our newsletters and articles sourced from our various colleges. Here will you also find links to those academies and colleges who are currently participating with DSU. It is our hope that DSU will be able to work with our colleges and academies to bring "in person" DSU events over time.
Where most academic learning institutions are focused primarily upon one kind of teaching, such as law school, medical school, religious school, etc. DSU is envisioned as a community of those offering a wide variety of subject matter for humanity to consume as they desire. Your own personal online spiritual research resource.
Our first focus for DSU is education & sharing. The word education is derived from an ancient word indicating child rearing instructions. In the perspective of divinity we are ALL as children. We ALL need instruction in social codes and manners that help us to mature. We all need training for work, occupation and business as well. We all need the perspectives of Divine Science that resonate with us.
Our second focus, sharing, indicates dividing of one's own and giving it to others. Sharing may be knowledge, wisdom, or understanding on spiritual, physical, mental, emotional or any of a number of subjects. Whether you are sharing an insight, teaching a class or course, or hosting a college dedicated to your particular passion we are all giving of ourselves to others. Sharing provides opportunities to gain knowledge, acquire wisdom and improve our living with integrity.
DSU, is a teaching tool for sharing knowledge and wisdom regarding divinity.
The word divine pertains to the nature of deity (specifically it refers to shine, referring to sky, heaven, God). Many different cultures, faiths, religions, and peoples have given different names to the divine, so the word divine seems to be the broadest descriptor possible for the widest audience possible.
Finally, the word science pertains to cutting or splitting; dividing or separating in order to know. It is exploring the parts to better attempt to understand the whole. As our finite minds cannot possibly comprehend the infinite knowledge of the universe, Divine Science University explores the story of life as it relates to the divine for our better understanding.
So that is what we are about. Our desire is that DSU becomes a network of independent service providers who promote their own services and educational programs, and who wish to share their insights, training, teachings and collaboration with other network providers.
We desire it to become a place where people searching for spiritual insight may seek and find information that they need to make informed choices about spirituality and their relation to divinity. Through broad participation, our hope is that somewhere on the DSU network will be a place of interest for every spiritual seeker.
Thus it is that Divine Science University describes both who we are and it describes our field of exploration. We desire explorers who give to the betterment of humanity and the planet that humanity inhabits. We desire the participation of those who desire to mature spiritually.
It is common for people to find a club or organization that promises admission into the inner sanctum of knowing… that promises to reveal to you all of the mysteries of life. Once having undergone initiation into such club or organization, many expect to be invested immediately with this sacred knowledge without having to put forth any effort. Many look at enlightenment experiences as something that happens from the outside in. “Ok, you have performed all of the external ceremonies, HERE is all the internal peace you seek to find”, as if it were some present bestowed from an external source.
Enlightenment is a process of learning over time; and most of the joy is in the process itself. Think of the joy you feel when you read something for the first time and have that “A-HA” moment, or when dwelling on a problem, you suddenly find a solution… an answer to the puzzle. These moments are incredibly rewarding and bring the joy of growing.
It is common to speak of the glory of something. To seek glory, receive glory, give glory. The word glory describes a “shining forth” or “public display” of the character, nature and good things that are in association with the light of the universe; with the positive attributes that goodness brings. It is in contemplating the glory of the light that we are freed from our preoccupation with lesser things. It is then that our anxieties and fears begin to lose their grip, our hearts come alive, and all things begin to find their proper place. When we demonstrate all the things that make divinity weighty and wonderful, deity is made manifest for US and those around us to see and experience.
DSU provides a library in which to research not a treasury in which to hide away the riches bestowed by goodness. Such a framework offers a way to attain knowledge over time through learning, patience, and truth; and it does so without harming others in their search. This practice of perfecting (making whole) one’s self is ancient beyond record.
The attainment of balance in one’s life… achieving happiness with yourself, without interfering with the happiness of others, and proactively helping others in their search for balance in their lives is that for which humanity should strive. It is only obtained by those who are worthy and true… to themselves and to each other.
This is the motivation and the desire behind DSU - that we can serve as a place where others may seek to explore aspects of light that they desire to learn about. We want to be a part of their quest for the attributes of light, and to help them to enjoy the journey.
That is what Divine Science University is about and what Divine Science University IS. We invite you to participate with us, or just to browse our research library and connect with one or more of our colleges. It is one way to draw closer to the divinity that you seek.
