Here We Go!

We are well into the first quarter of 2025 and the world is actively working and changing.  DSU is actively working and changing as well.

Our colleges are working to share their spiritual messages with the world.  Some are investing in ways to help others with health, fitness, and spiritual strengthening.  We are actively exploring the Spirit of the Cosmos, each in our own way.

We invite you to review this, our first quarter e-newsletter, and enjoy some of DSU’s insights.  We invite you to forward it to those who may desire to become aware of these messages.

We invite you to come and participate with us as you have an interest.  We have multiple weekly zoom events, we have monthly in-person social events, we have quarterly ceremonial observations in which we participate (solstices and equinoxes) as a way to mark our progress through the year.

We, the colleges of DSU are diligently working as we are led by Spirit to share our wisdom with you.  We hope you will receive it in the spirit in which it is intended–a means of potential spiritual growth.

Spirituality & Mental Tranquility

Author L.S. Berthelsen shares her frustrations with having to replace windows in her home.  She asks the question “So, what if the window to the soul needs replacing?  Crazy analogy, but that’s exactly what I think might be going on with a lot of us…”. Investigate more at the title link above.

BOOK REVIEW:

The Red Lion, The Elixir of Eternal Life

This book review reports on the 1946 novel The Red Lion, The Elixir of Eternal Life by Hungarian author Mária Szepes.

There are many nuggets of wisdom scattered throughout this novel, and exposes the reader to some of the mystical/metaphysical aspects of of alchemy. The Red Lion recounts the adventures of a 16th-century alchemist’s apprentice who murders his magister in order to possess a potion rumored to confer the gift of immortality. But he acquires the Elixir while he is still spiritually unprepared and is thereby cursed.

The exploits of this book relate some of the insights to the course of his life(s) thereafter. Did you know that the word curse is derived from the word course?  More often than not a curse is a course of life that we have made by our own choices.

This is the starting-point of his journey through the centuries: while he can physically die, the Elixir enables him to retain the full memory of his previous lives as he repeatedly reincarnates into a variety of different circumstances. This apprentice learns about life and ascension the hard way–from the bottom up as the novel follows his progress on each stage of his ascension path. Check out more about this book in our brief review of The Red Lion, The Elixir of Eternal Life.

Dimensional Understanding

Last year was a pivotal point in humanity's individual and collective consciousness. For some it was obvious, and for others it required a deeper look and perhaps deeper challenges to really enable us to see and sense our own Truth.  It was a year of exploring and reconnecting in new ways.  Learn more about nine dimensions of consciousness that are accessible for human evolvement in this article.

Marionette ~ Puppet ~ Spirit

Have you ever felt like a puppet on a string? Do you feel like a Marionette with someone outside of you pulling your strings, or a puppet with someone filling your core?  Or do you feel like a spiritual “free agent”?  Learn more in this article.

Life is hard. Many try to compensate for the hardness of life by filling it with pleasurable experiences.  Many try to accumulate things and attempt to derive a sense of security in their world from them.  Did you know that even the “wisest king in the world”, King Solomon, tried all of this too? This very brief look into Ecclesiastes 1:1-14 might help you to be determined to reinforce your connection to Spirit instead of other things.

This very brief principle offers you a starting point in the pursuit of principles for living…

Almost 2,000 years ago a man devised a self-care retreat that is free of charge; a retreat that you can take whenever you desire.  This brief article shares some insights of Stoic thinker Emperor Marcus Aurelius.  Learn how to develop your own Inner Citadel.
