At 5:10 PM we reviewed the various updates of the colleges and the blog-sites and shared the trailer from the Fall Equinox skit. This is but a low resolution taste of the fun that we had during our celebration.
At 5:15 PM Jackie shared wisdom on “Experiencing Frequency”.
At 5:27 Chris led “It’s Spirit Y’all, Character Building”. He pointed out that thus far in the spiritual character traits review we have looked at three characteristics to acquire: Faith, Goodness and Knowledge.
This presentation reviewed a few more spiritual characteristics that you will want to strive to develop within yourself. Spiritual self-control is the ability to restrain one's desires and impulses, especially for the purpose of avoiding harmful behaviors. We reviewed questions:
- If you can't "control" (i.e. put your own brakes on your actions) who can you control? Or more accurately, who will control you?
- If you can't or won't make consciously aware choices to align your behavior with divine character, who will?
- What are some ways we can demonstrate divine self-control in our individual worlds?
- In what ways is spiritual endurance like physical exercise?
- If physical exercise results in flexibility, strength, and endurance, in what does spiritual exercise result?
- What are some of the characteristics of the divine?
- In what ways do you contemplate the teaching, guidance, and principles of divinity?
- How can we attempt to approach deep respect for Divine character and guidance that is necessary for godliness?
- The best reflectors are smooth shiny surfaces that allows light to bounce off at the same angle at which they strike the reflector. How can we make ourselves better reflectors of divinity?
In future presentations we'll look at the last two attributes of spiritual character – how to practice it.
At 6:05 PM we concluded with our closing intention and the song I AM, by Fia and signed off thereafter.
