DSU Meeting February 18, 2026

Divine Science University held a meeting on Feb 18, 2026 at 5:00 PM.  Following the invitation song Teach Your Children by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young we took a moment to breathe deeply together in preparation to read our mission statement and opening intention.

At 5:09 PM we shared general insights and highlighted each of our DSU Colleges. Until 5:14 PM

At 5:17 PM Chris did a 10 minute presentation regarding the newly established Dietary Guidelines for Americans, 2025-2030.  He pointed out the while Europe has one 400 certified food additives, the US has some 4000 to 10,000 according to HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy.  He also pointed out that there no requirement that the food industry follow these guidelines and that it is up to us to become aware of them.  Says Secretary Kennedy, “I’m not saying that we’re going to regulate ultra-processed food.  Our job is to make sure that everybody understands what they’re getting, to have an informed public.”

At 5:26 PM Carol Schaefer brought a presentation on the Microbiome of the body, referring to the microorganisms living in or on the body.

At 5:59 PM we shared comments and reminders and read our closing intention and closed with the song What a Wonderful World as we prepared for the GFLAA planning session immediately after.
