September 2024 E-Newsletter

 Welcome to DSU’s Public Newsletter Divine Science University (DSU) hopes to provide insight from a variety of sources.  Insight for dealing with changes, for growing, just for entertainment.  But mostly we hope to offer some insights for maturing within the light -- those universal energies that flow to us and through us as electric currents flow and around a wire.

“Where the Rubber Meets the Road” is an adage that describes the test of putting a concept, plan or theory into action. This entry describing how a symphony of road workers help to bring joy to the realization that even mundane interruptions can result in a spiritual experience.

Largest Diamond in Over a Century Found

The largest diamond found in more than a century has been unearthed at a mine in Botswana. The huge 2,492-carat diamond is the second-biggest ever discovered in a mine. It’s the biggest diamond found since 1905.
A new U.S. government report concluded that fluoride in drinking water at twice the recommended limit is linked with lower IQ in children, the first time a federal agency has determined — “with moderate confidence” — that there is a link between higher levels of fluoride exposure and lower IQ in kids.

This posting tells the story of rediscovery of a missing portion of the manuscript for this author’s book project.  “For many folks, summertime evokes visions of vacations, water sports and relaxation.   
For me, summer is a great time for writing.  The warmer months seem to accelerate inward goals that often get lost in the distractions or public commitments associated with the academic calendar.  “Either I had to divide the remains narrative into another two books or begin carving…cutting, splicing,” In as she puts it: “one giant quilting bee of piecing scenes, snipping loose phrases, fusing research into dialogs, embroidering action over history, and even appliquéing historic figures and events into all the layers.” 
Stonehenge's central Altar Stone originated from northern Scotland, roughly 450 miles from the ancient England site and over 300 miles farther than previously believed, according to new research.
The 14,000-pound, 16-foot stone lies mostly underground at the center of the sprawling rock complex.  Research using a global rock formation database matched the Altar Stone to the Orcadian Basin in northeast Scotland. Scholars speculate the Altar Stone may have been transported by sea.

At first glance, the V-shaped symbols carved onto the pillars at Gobekli Tepe — an archaeological site in southern Turkey could be evidence of the world’s oldest lunisolar calendar and it may serve as a memorial to a comet strike that hit Earth roughly 13,000 years ago that  triggered a mini ice age.

Taken from this full article at this link the paper notes, among MANY other findings, a carved bone with notches that correspond very closely to the natural lunar cycle.  The upper row has a count of 14 crescent shapes and the lower row 15 allowing for a 29 or 30 day count.
